A frequent poster at FutureProducers, Obitheincredible, posted a link in the FREE drum kit thread to the ObiAudio free download section. Obi has free drum samples on his site in several different formats, including MPC, Reason, and wav. There’s tons of free loops, breaks, effects, and samples here so go scoop em up
A KVR Audio user, Bronto Scorpio, posted to offer up his first ever sample pack for download. The free download contains 120 glitchy noises as well as a Kontakt instrument where the samples are mapped across the keyboard with some weird speed and distortion modulations.
An Audiofanzine user, Ukaef, posted a link to his Rock Da 500 sample library of MPC 500 samples. I recently ran across and interesting assortment of samples, drumkits, and presets from Les Productions ZVON. They have samples of a “no name keyboard” and “the smallest keyboard ever,” both of which I thought were interesting. A couple people asked for some more plugin presets and here are some of my favorites; Logic’s EVOC 20 Filterbank, Polysynth, and Track Oscillator plugins. Load up one of these presets on your drum or vocal track and you get some way out there results.
After my Logic Delay Designer post last week, I had a couple people request some Logic Pro Space Designer presets ASAP…..Ask and you shall receive! There are alot of great presets here and you’ll probably never come close to using them all but in my opinion, you can never have enough.
Simply put, Logic’s Delay Designer plugin is crazy! Although it can be intimidating at first, open up the plugin, start twisting the knobs, and you’ll be an expert in no time. I throw some delay on my sound or pattern, load up a preset, and tweak to fit my track from there. EXPERIMENT!
