A couple people asked for some more plugin presets and here are some of my favorites; Logic’s EVOC 20 Filterbank, Polysynth, and Track Oscillator plugins. Load up one of these presets on your drum or vocal track and you get some way out there results.

A great place to look for free sounds is ironically enough, on the websites that focus on selling drum samples and loops. ProducerLoops.com has almost 1400 sample packs available from 91 soundware manufacturers in multiple formats so it’s a great place buy and download new samples or loops. People are buzzing about Scorpio61′s hip hop sample mixes! It’s got 52 volumes of free old school songs to sample from. There’s over 2000 tracks so it’ll take a bit of work to make it through everything but it looks like it’ll be well worth your time.
