Through a thread at KVRaudio, I found a post by Real Music Media announcing that all the music and samples on their site are now completely free. You can download free loops packs in the styles of: 60′s drums, swing jazz drums, and classical guitar as well as many others.
The creator of the Bedroom Producers blog, a member at KVR Audio, recently posted a free Yamaha DD-8 sample pack. He says, “if you like toy synths and drum machines, this will probably make you happy because the Yamaha DD-8 is like the cheeziest drum machine ever. still, it somehow never ceases to inspire me.”
I found some threads at KVR Audio where people were raving about the Waveformless music blog. There’s tons of cool stuff on the site but what really caught my attention were the 20 free synth percussion sounds from his Novamodded Roland SH-101. Bookmark his blog and check back with it regularly for more freebies.
There’s a post at KVR Audio about free drumkits made available on The Synthgeek Pages. Synthgeek has po ted several drumkits, loops, synthsounds, and miscellaneous effects. There’s lots of cool stuff here (circuit bent Roland TR-66 samples) and some off the wall stuff too (sampled/processed recording of dogs and weed whackers).
I found a link to download free SP 1200 drum kits posted by Evilneedle at FutureProducers. The SP 1200 is known for it’s warm, vinyl-ish sound and free SP 1200 drums are kind of hard to come by so go download them asap.
