An IDM Forum user, almosthuman, posted a link to download a free lofi sample pack. The pack has almost 900 KB’s of samples and the other IDM users who have downloaded the pack are impressed.
A KVR Audio user, Bronto Scorpio, posted to offer up his first ever sample pack for download. The free download contains 120 glitchy noises as well as a Kontakt instrument where the samples are mapped across the keyboard with some weird speed and distortion modulations.

I found some threads at KVR Audio where people were raving about the Waveformless music blog. There’s tons of cool stuff on the site but what really caught my attention were the 20 free synth percussion sounds from his Novamodded Roland SH-101. A great place to look for free sounds is ironically enough, on the websites that focus on selling drum samples and loops. ProducerLoops.com has almost 1400 sample packs available from 91 soundware manufacturers in multiple formats so it’s a great place buy and download new samples or loops. But…ProducerLoops also has a great freebies section!
